Allow me to introduce Andy now he got his name because one of our friends came over and he followed her everywhere and when she sat down he sat down and she kept telling him he was a dandy so he is now Andy the dandy. He wants to do anything he can to be close to where we are. He would make a great obedience dog as he likes to please.

As responsible breeders at Vendetta Poodles, we do our very best to assure each and every puppy gets what they need from time of conception, to grow and be the best they can be. Genetics play a huge role in what puppies become however, personality and behaviors are formed. Many books have been written on imprinting. I have done extensive research on this subject and have set up my own protocol. When puppies are born, imprinting begins as each of these tiny creatures are born, mom cleans them and the smell of saliva leads each new puppy to moms breasts . If you watch a mom as she is preparing to give birth she will lick and clean each breast. This scent is what the babies follow with their keen sense of smell. All puppies are born with ears and eyes closed till approx 10-14 days. I begin imprinting the moment they are born. Between 3 weeks and the time they go to their new homes puppies are exposed to all kinds of different noises, other pets, grooming, and different textures. I am always observant as to how each puppy reacts and never push them beyond their capabilities. Imprinting has been around for centuries dating back to Indians. Imprinting is done at the critical learning time in a puppies life from 0 to 12 weeks. My goal is to match the right puppy with the right family. For the amount of care that goes into each and every puppy not to mention the parents care, testing, food and time, I feel my prices are more than reasonable. Purchasing a puppy is like adopting a child. It is a lifetime commitment on your part as well as mine. Take a moment today to thank God for your pets. Enjoy and take good care of them. Life would not be as joyful of an experience without God's critters. We do not have to wait for Heaven to be surrounded by hope, love, and joyfulness. It is here on earth and has four legs! |

Karen Just a brief update on our little guy--MURRAY--so far. Trip was long and difficult for him, but he only cried a little now and then. When we got home I was disappointed by the reception from our 3 year old standard female. She was actually fairly hostile, and the first couple days were kind of tense. She is finally starting to calm down, and all should be mostly friendly in another day or two. Murray was pronounced very healthy and "exceptionally well socialized" by our vet. Housebreaking is pretty far along already, he takes stairs like a pro, and his personality is really wonderful. Thanks again for this great little dog! Gary C. Peterson ![]() |

My husband and I would love to share some photos of our puppy. She was born on the 4th of July, a year ago. Karen brought Gracie out here to Reno when Gracie was approximately 3 months old. Gracie was adorable. We bonded right away. What is so unique about Gracie is that she was so socialized before she even arrived. Gracie loves everybody! She is such a loving puppy and has such a wonderful and happy personality. Everyone adores her. She is a cornball, too. We play and run everyday. But she also has a very regal and sophisticated side. We love that. She is a beauty. We would highly recommend Karen's poodles. We have had Gracie for almost a year now. She is a moyan which means that she is in between a standard and a miniture poodle in size. Although Gracie's mom was a smaller standard, so Gracie is on the smaller side which is fine with us. But she is bigger than a miniture poodle. We are attaching some photos of Gracie that were just taken a few days ago right after she was groomed. My husband is a photographer and uses Gracie as his model very often. So, here you go. Please feel free to ask us any questions you may have. We would be happy to talk with you too. My contact information is below. Hope this information and the pictures are helpful. Hi Karen, We had a great car ride home. He did great - absolutely perfect. He did not make a noise the entire car ride - so calm. He has also been going to the bathroom outside. One quick question - did Sammy ever see a TV before? We have had it on a couple times and both times he has barked at the TV for several minutes. It is really funny. Thanks again for all of your hard work - we are so excited to have him part of our family. Jenny. Hi Karen, I hope you are doing well. The puppies on the webpage are sooo cute! I thought I should share with you that I have had so many people stop me when I am walking Sammy and ask where did I get him. I have passed on your name to several individuals around here. One woman actually saw Sammy from a distance in her car and drove over just to say "Hi" - she couldn't stop saying how gorgeous he is. Sammy has been doing great! We are so in love with him. He is such a good boy. We have taken him on several long distance car trips and he is an angel. I am going to attach some pictures of him before his last haircut. Also, keep a lookout for our Christmas card in the mail in a couple months!!! Have a great day! Jenny :) |

Message: Hi, Karen. I thought I would pass along the compliment Georgie (4-16-07) received. He visited a new-to-him groomer today. She was very impressed with his manners on the grooming table. This particular place does a lot of poodles, and she said not all of them are so well behaved. I told her I thought it was the good socialization start and grooming experience that all your puppies get. She agreed and said, "Keep up the good work!"

Hi Karen, Just wanted to send you a quick update. Sammy is doing great! He had one accident the morning after we got him, but since that he has not had any! He is extremely sweet, playful and a little shy. He just loves to cuddle on the couch with us. We are hoping to get him enrolled in this big dog park that has a huge pond that the dogs can swim in. He started puppy class last Saturday and did great! We couldn't be happier with him. He is such a joy in our lives!! I hope things are going well with you and I will talk to you soon. Jenny |

A wonderful dog, super snuggler but not a pest. A bit shy at first with strangers but warms up. Not timid at play with our 10 year old Catahoula Leopard dog and is good buddies with our male cat too. Very smart, was easy to train to heal on and off a leash. We've always used a training collar, can't stand a dog staring up at us for treats all the time. He's still a puppy when it comes to him coming to our call when he is off on his own at the park, but he improves daily as he matures. We have never needed a stern word with him. He was pitch black when we got him, he's silver black now , with some white 'snow' in the edges of his ears, very charming. He loves to be held and hugged, till he's done :-). Feel free to post my comments, phone number and photos, I'll send a few when he was younger. My dad was dog catcher for the City of Milwaukee for 30 years so there are few dogs I haven't owned or known, Count is among the best already. Thanks! Gordy and Kris Stahl 502 727 9595 cell |

Karen Just a note to let you know we arrived home safely. Charlie quieted down in the car and was a very good boy. Sleeping by my bed at night and doing well. Has already mastered the stairs (going up). Is doing a good job going outside to do his business. Very distracted when he is eating so not eating a lot yet. He is adorable and follows Emma and me around everywhere. Thanks again! Mary Anne Sloan Director, Healthcare Technical Assistance Program Purdue University Office 765-496-1899 Cell 765-430-0600 |

Hi Karen! It has been several days since I picked the puppy up from Harrisburg International Airport. Max, as I have come to call the puppy is thriving and doing exceptionally well. Over the past five days I have come to the following conclusions: Standard poodles do not walk they prance. It appears you can take the dog out of the show, but you can not take the show out of the dog. I have had four other dogs in my life and I have never seen one that naturally knew how to walk on a leash-until now. Even macho men like police officers (my husband), are powerless to resist the milk white cotton fur of a standard poodle. My husband now denies all of the anti poodle rhetoric he has been spewing for the last two months. I have been told by countless people that poodles are extremely intelligent. This was demonstrated to me when Max demonstrated that he already knows how to play catch. If my husband was not present, I would have thought I was hallucinating. Being that Max appears to have a sense of humor, I think he thinks he taught me to play catch. Max is extremely sociable and seems to think that it is everyone's duty to pet him. Personally I think he is developing a large ego. I can not tell you how often I have been told how beautiful he is. I just wanted you to know that I am thoroughly enjoying my puppy. Hopefully, you continue to breed in upcoming years because I can see another poodle in my future. My husband is in the process of buying me a new camera. I will be sure to send you pictures. Sincerely, Ebony Simmons |

Hi Karen, I hope all is well with you and your family. I am sending you a couple of pictures of Rusty because I promised my mother-in-law I would. She was so cute - when came over on Christmas Eve, she had a whole roll of (film) pictures of Rusty. (They refuse to go digital.) She asked me to pick out the two best pictures and send them to you (so you can see how handsome Rusty is) and to be sure to tell you that he is the best dog in the whole world! Honestly, I don’t know what they would do without that dog to dote on! He is all they can talk about. He is such a comfort to the two of them. My mother-in-law is getting more and more disabled with her arthritis so he comforts her by lying on the sofa with her and he comforts my father-in-law by keeping him company – they are “the boys”. Anyway, Rusty is doing great and is the light of my in-laws lives. They would never say it out loud but I think they secretly think Rusty is the best dog they've ever had including their beloved white standard poodle that passed away 10 years ago. Thank you again for breeding such a wonderful dog…and now my duty is done! Regards, |
