Health and temperament is of vital importance in our breeding program. Only a small portion of our litters are placed within "show prospect homes". We breed for the purpose of producing dogs to exhibit for ourselves. Our overall goal of always is to seek to improve the breed. Because of this, we carefully select bloodlines and characteristics that compliment one another. This is a time consuming process that involves extensive research and pedigree knowledge.
Many of our puppies will be placed with families. This is where their temperaments and adaptability is most heartfelt. To know that our pups are placed with families is a true honor. For a beloved pet is truly a gift.
All puppies are temperament tested at 7 weeks old. This helps us to access which puppy matches what situation. An example is; a puppy going to a home that wants to participate in "Hunting Sports" would need a puppy with an outstanding desire to swim and retrieve. We want our special puppies to become permanent members of a family, and strive to match their personality to what you desire in a puppy. They are kept with our family from birth until they leave to join their new family. This allows each puppy to receive personal attention and love.
All puppies are well on their way to being potty trained and lead broken. We spend a healthy amount of time with our puppies working on socialization amongst things that are important to the potential owner such as potty training.
