Welcome To The Guarantee Page |
| When a puppy is sold, depending on where you live, you have 24 to 72 hours to return the dog for ANY reason. All you lose is $200 which is a surety of action deposit, plus the transportation costs. If you live across the country and are shipping the dog, we will be slightly more flexible with this time line, however all shipping costs are at your expense. We hope that people who acquire a puppy are serious about their commitment to the dog and that they realize they may have to work through some adjustments or minor problems that may occur. We also expect that you have educated yourself about this breed either through our website, talking to us or getting a book. If however, after the 72 hour "right to return" period, your feelings or circumstances change, where you no longer feel you can or you want to keep the dog, you STILL may return it to us after ANY length of time. The dog must have been kept in good health and returned WITH his/her papers. At that point, we would attempt to sell it for you, to a suitable home. If a sale occurs (and we cannot guarantee a sale for you) within 2 months of returning the dog, you would receive 25% of the sale price. This is because there will be work and expense in holding the dog for re-sale. In the event it is not sold, we will keep it, love it, and give it a good home. In the unlikely event of the emergence of a previously undiagnosed genetic condition, prior to the dog's first birthday, which is sufficiently serious in the opinion of two qualified veterinarians, (one of whom is selected by us), to warrant euthanization of the dog, we guarantee to replace the dog with a puppy of similar quality (as determined by us), and same sex, from a future litter. A puppy may be held with a $200 deposit. When it is picked up, the balance is due. We take postal money orders, cashiers checks or Pay Pal. If you use Pay Pal, there is an additional $5.00 fee for every hundred dollars because that is what is deducted for the money transfer. If you don't want to pay that, please use one of the other options. We do not guarantee coat color. Over the years we have seen that a puppy may be born black and be light gray by 3 or 4 weeks old. It has also happened that we purchased a silver puppy who turned dark gray-black as it got older. These are just two examples of colors changing. There are some colors, such as dark black that we can predict with almost 100% certainty, will stay dark black. So, we will give you our best educated opinion as to the color, but not a guarantee. We only know for sure what color it is at the time of sale. This also applies to eye color (although you can be generally sure of the color by 6 weeks of age) and to length of coat. If you put a deposit down on a puppy before 6 weeks of age and it is based on the eye color, you will NOT receive a refund of your deposit if the eye color changes. Again, we can only tell you what the eye color is at the time of the deposit. Normally it will not change after 6 weeks, but on occasion, it does. If you choose to put a deposit on a puppy before 6 weeks of age, based on eye color and it changes, you forfeit your deposit if you choose not to take the puppy. All puppies have coccidia in their intestinal tract and also may have been exposed to giardia. Giardia is around in the environment. It can be in water (it's found in mountain streams). It can be brought into any environment by a stray cat or dog dropping infected feces in your yard. If it comes out in their feces, it can stay in the environment for 8 to 11 years. Both of these things are intestinal bugs or bacteria, which huskies seem to be susceptible to, especially as puppies. They both can cause diarrhea. In the stress of a move and imparticlar, shipping a puppy, they may get a flair up of one or the other of these brought on by the stress. Both are easily treatable and not life threatening if taken care of and are not considered a reason for return of a puppy for a refund, after the 72 hour period. They fall in the department of care and maintenance of your puppy. In the booklet you receive from us with your puppy, we advise you to take your puppy to your Vet by the time it is 12 weeks old and have a fecal test done to check for these things as well as to insure that the wormings we gave, did the trick. Puppies are very susceptible to worms. We, of course, strive to keep our environment clean and our water is tested. Our puppies are wormed and immunized, but even so, there is always a chance of these two occurances or of the puppy getting re-infected with worms and needing more de-wormings. Our puppies are happy, healthy, current on all immunizations and de-wormed several times. They have been played with, loved and come from dogs with good temperments, BUT puppies need much attention and care. The breed you pick needs to be a fit for your living situation, family and lifestyle. Please ask questions, educate yourself and if you feel a husky is for you and you buy one, COMMIT to that dog.
